CREWS RIVERSIDE PARK PAVILION COMPLETION CRA RFP 23-03
INVITATION FOR BID
The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency is seeking qualified construction companies to complete the scope of work started of Bay Construction & Design, LLC to build the Crews Riverside Park Pavilion in accordance with the Proposal Instructions, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Addenda, Attachments to Addenda, Plans and Specifications, Alternates, existing approved modifications, approved change orders, and Inquiry No. F22016 – RFQ – 1 (the “Contract Documents”) for the bonded portion of the work included in the Owner/Obligee’s contract with the Wauchula CRA. Also to be included in the proposal for completion is the correction of any patent (no latent) defects in the bonded portion of the work of Bay Construction & Design, LLC, if any, include all necessary re-work of the Former Contactor’s installed work to bring it into a condition that meets the requirement of the Contract Documents.
The principal features of the Original Scope of Work are:
- Approximately 1,238 SF of Observation Platform
- Approximately 220 SF of Office
- Approximately 330 SF of Restrooms
- Approximately 1,120 SF of Boardwalk
The Office and Restrooms are all classified under one built structure. The entire platform is elevated to account for the 100-year floodplain. See drawings for more information.

Sealed Bids will be received by the Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) located at 107 East Main Street, Wauchula, Florida 33873, until 2:00 PM local time on June 20, 2023. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened. The Bidder shall be solely responsible for delivery of their Bid. Reliance upon mail or public carriers is at the Bidder’s risk.
All Bids shall be publicly opened, read aloud and recorded at 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in the Wauchula CRA Office, 107 East Main Street, Wauchula, Florida 33873.

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Wauchula CRA office, 107 E. Main Street, Wauchula, Florida, 33873. This meeting will be required for you to determine the scope of work necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The pre-bid meeting will be followed by a site visit.
QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this Invitation for Bid shall be submitted in writing and delivered to Jessica Newman, CRA Director, via email: jnewman@cityofwauchula.com. Deadline to submit questions will be Friday, June 9, 2023 at 5:00 PM local time.
ADDENDA: Questions will be answered in the form of Addenda directly to Bidders who attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 10:30 AM, as well as posted to the City of Wauchula website at www.cityofwauchula.com under the Community Redevelopment Agency page.
